Main activities and achievement in 2007
- Facilitation of a 5 day workshop on promoting inclusion through innovative media and materials at the Cambodiana Hotel, in which professional writers, photographers, illustrators, designers, radio and TV programmers were trained on how to produce inclusive materials (funded by the World Bank);
- Produced a poster about joining up to promote job opportunities for disabled people and outline general provision of CRPD;
- Provided support to World Vision- Disability Mainstreaming Project to produce a professional poster about promoting education for disabled children;
- Provided coordination support to ICC in producing the audio song about disability through the formulation of a Karaoke group under the supervision of DAG;
- Coordinated translation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities into Khmer;
- Provided support to the consultant developing the Disability Awareness component of the National Landmine Victim Assistance National Plan of Action;
- Delivered presentation on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with disability at a disability awareness workshop held by CDPO;
- Provided support and advice to MoSVY in producing and broadcasting a TV sport about disability;
- Provided supporting material for Veterans International to conduct their awareness raising in the community;
- Provided support to Cambodia Special Olympics Committee to select the intellectual disability athletes for national competition and Special Olympic Games in China;
- Provided support for fundraising children with disability to attend equally with non-disabled children in International Children Day 2007;
- Provided support to a group of disabled people to set up the Cambodian Independent Living Center to promote independent living model in Cambodia;
- Speaker on several radio talk shows to raise awareness about disability issues and provide advice and recommendations to the audiences such as Family Radio and Women's Media Center supported by CDPO;
