1. Welcome and Introduction

Mr. Chan Sopheak, Vocational Training Program Coordinator as the committee facilitator took the opportunity to welcome all participants After that, he requested all members to introduce themselves.

2. Review of the last meeting’s minutes:

The minutes of the meeting on January 17, 2008 was approved by all the members

3- Discuss Term of Reference and Scope and Limitation of Income Generation and Job Placement Sub-Committee:

Mr. Sopheak briefed those present on the purpose of establishing the Sub-Committee. The sub-committee is established to focus more specially on income generation and job placement for people with disabilities.
Mr. Sopheak then presented the draft Term of Reference of this sub-committee, and then asked for ideas from the members. All the members present agreed and participated in activity of the sub-committee.

There was also a suggestion to Mr. Sopheak to translate the approved ToR into Khmer and send it to all members.

4- Discussion on preparation of a workshop on Dissemination of Circular on Improving the Quality of Vocational Training for People with Disabilities:
The Quality Standards for vocational training for people with disabilities was approved by H.E Ith Sam Heng, Minister of Ministry of Social Affairs Veteran and Youth (MoSVY) who adopted it as its Circular. Mr. Sopheak added that he had sent the invitation letter to H.E Ith Sam Heng, MoSVY’s Minister to be a guest of honor at the workshop and asked him to set an appropriate date.

Following the last few meetings, the committee had set the program for the workshop. All members have their own responsibilities in joining the organization of this workshop including presentation of the 10 prioritize training curriculums, participate in organizing the products display and job fair…etc.

5-Any other Business:
Mr. Sopheak requested all members contributed to the organization of the workshop and please kindly paid their contribution to DAC as soon as possible. As the money needed to buy some materials and to copy documents.

Mr. Kheng Khemra, Deputy Director of TVET, Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training recommend that the term of using the word committee need to change because it is a permanent committee. All the members agreed and start from now the committee will use the new term of using the word of the committee in Khmer.

6-Date and agenda for the next meeting:
The date of the next meeting will be informed by Sopheak and the next meeting will held before the workshop reception.
