The Disability Action Council aims to deliver its mission through a variety of vehicles-they include
- Program committees: made up of DAC members - they focus on a specific area of activity - for example children with disabilities;
- Working Groups: are time limited and address specific issues/ problems;
- Member Information Development - facilitated by DAC - the aim an to provide information to the membership on disability issues and on DAC activity;
- Publications: DAC produces a range of publications - they include:
- A Quarterly Newsletter
- A Annual Report
- DAC Briefing Papers
- Information Brochure
- Training Activities: DAC supports many organizations with disability training;
- Presentations/ attendance: at conferences/ seminars: DAC staff when requested present papers on disability issues;
- Liaison Activity - Establishing links with private/public and voluntary bodies is an essential component of the networking undertaken by DAC. Linking with Government Agencies is especially important.
