Projects Requiring Funding

The Disability Action Council is a coordinating body. Most of the actual implementation of programmes and projects in the disability and rehabilitation sector is done by the DAC's affiliated member organisations.

Part of the DAC's role is to assist its members to find funding for their projects. The submission of these projects for funding by donors reflects a consensus within the DAC that they are priority areas of activity.

Coordination by the DAC of Cambodia's disability and rehabilitation sector helps to minimise duplication of services and overlapping areas of operation. In a world of scarce donor resources, efficient allocation of funds to meet the most important needs of people with disabilities is of paramount importance.

It is extremely important to all members of the DAC that donors feel confident that they are funding worthwhile projects which fit into an overall national strategy. Without that confidence, our important work cannot be achieved.

We sincerely hope that our efforts to work together for our common goals will help to convince donors that our projects are indeed worth supporting.
