Strategic Plan
| GOAL |
All children with disabilities receive education, and have equal rights and
opportunities to participate in society and benefit from society.
| IMMEDIATE OBJECTIVE |
All children with disabilities participate in and receive formal and non-formal
education either at home, in mainstream schools, in special schools, or special
classes.
| OBJECTIVES |
- Family and community awareness of the potential of children with disabilities to be educated is developed, supported and promoted.
- The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has the capacity and resources (materials, teaching equipment) to train new teachers about disability issues, and provide refresher training for existing teachers.
- Special equipment is provided for schools to facilitate the accessibility of children with disabilities in mainstream schools.
