9. Prevention of Disability
Strategic Plan
| GOAL |
To improve the health and quality of life, and to prevent diseases and / or
accidents, which cause disabilities, through primary / preventive health care
and public education.
| OBJECTIVES |
- Promote safe motherhood in families through the improvement of delivery of maternal and child health services throughout Cambodia. Access for the poor.
- Promote protective measures against accidents (workplace, road), and (mine, recognising that good and safe design of the environment, equipment and use of personal protective equipment is essential.
- Reduce the incidence of communicable and vaccine preventable diseases.
- Promote better nutrition and work towards the elimination of Iodine and Vitamin A deficiencies, Leprosy, TB, and Malaria, and prevention of blindness.
- Promote the international campaign to ban the production, use and sale of anti-personnel landmines, and to prohibit the manufacture and sale of laser and other weapons.
