11.2. Physical Rehabilitation

Strategic Plan

GOAL

To ensure maximum equitable distribution of quality physical rehabilitation services to all physically disabled persons in Cambodian society, taking into account their express needs and priorities with regard to their social, cultural and economic development.

IMMEDIATE OBJECTIVE

To promote more and more access for people with disabilities to the improved standards and quality of services needed, to be provided by Rehabilitation Centres according to the long-term plan.

OBJECTIVES
  1. To improve standards and quality of services.
  2. To improve accessibility of services.
  3. To develop policies relating to staff job descriptions, professional status and salary.
  4. To identify the needs of disabled people nationwide and match service provision to needs.
  5. To provide support for the conversion of Prosthetics and Orthotics Workshops into Rehabilitation Centres.
  6. To develop a plan for the long-term sustainability of physical rehabilitation services.
  7. To increase patient / public information through leaflets, posters, and other campaigns.
